The pictures below are from my trip to Sevilla and Cordoba with my program. The first three photos are from Sevilla since we went there first. The first picture is of the Plaza of Spain, which was incredible! It was huge and had artwork for many cities of Spain. In Sevilla we also went to a cathedral and a mosque. The second picture is of the cathedral, which was beautiful. The third picture is actually from a tower connected to the cathedral. The walk was pretty hard, but the view from the top was worth every second of walking! A girl in our group had just injured her knee before the trip, so walking up to the top wasn't fun for her
:( Sevilla is a lot bigger than Granada, but it's very spread out. Therefore it didn't seem that much bigger to me. While in Sevilla we had lunch by the river, went out for gelado (and I got carmel flavored!), and went to a restaurant later and had many different plates of food that we all shared! The fourth picture is some of the food we got to enjoy. The picture is potatoes with chicken and a white sauce, which was different but really good! The fifth picture is another picture of the plaza of Spain.
In Sevilla we stayed in a hotel on Saturday night and then left for Cordoba in the morning. At the hotel we had a continental breakfast included in our stay, which was good. These pictures below are from Cordoba. In Cordoba we went to another Cathedral and also a synagogue and a mosque. They were all interesting and different. The mosque and cathedral in Cordoba were both interesting, but they both had interesting pillars within them that reminded me of candy land. When touring Spain, it's very interesting because many mosques, cathedrals, etc. are a mix of religions. For instance the architecture of Christians and Muslims is very different, it's very interesting and intriguing. Cordoba was a beautiful city and had a beautiful bridge, but the river was filthy.

My friend that I met in high school came to my city for two weeks and we met and went out for tea. Some of my friends that I have met here came with and we talked Spanish, English, and Norwegian. It was a really fun time talking and laughing and enjoying tea in a new location that I hadn't gone to before.
This is a very common food here: lentil soup and guacamole! Our host mom makes the guacamole and it's really really good. The lentil soup is so good as well especially with bread to dip in it. Just so you know we don't get served dinner in a dish like this, but I missed supper one night. Therefore I told my host mom to put my food downstairs in the fridge, so I could eat it later.
Some of the food we ate at my intercambio's house last night. We had shrimp with salt, couscous, clams, oysters, bread, fish with chips, and a strawberry smoothie for dessert. What a blessing :) I'm going to miss Wednesday nights when I go back to the US.
